The goals of our therapeutic riding classes are :
* To teach our students the equestrian skills needed to become good riders.
* To use horseback riding activities to facilitate specific rehabilitation objectives for our students (e.g. improving balance, posture, coordination and mobility / increasing attention span and promoting communication skills / improving confidence and self-esteem).
Special note on the importance of our therapeutic riding program for patients at major New York Hospitals
   The New York Therapeutic Riding Center serves patients referred by major New York City Hospitals.
   Physicians and physical / occupational therapists at a growing number of New York hospitals are prescribing the Equestria program for their pediatric and adult patients because of the vital role of therapeutic horseback riding in the rehabilitation of children and adults with many type of disabilities.
